The More Circle is Camp More’s first-ever retreat designed exclusively for adults (21+) who stutter. Held over Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25, 2026 at the peaceful forest retreat of Liminalia in Vernonia, Oregon, this experience invites you to slow down, connect, and enjoy more, without pressure or expectations.

The More Circle is named for the power and symbolism of the circle: a shape that represents connection, strength, equality, and inclusion. Inspired by Camp More’s “big circle,” a cherished tradition for the past 10 years where campers, volunteers, and staff gather and celebrate, The More Circle creates a space for adults who stutter to connect, share stories, and build community.

Throughout the weekend, participants will enjoy nourishing, catered meals, restful accommodations in cozy, fully-made cabins (unless you prefer to bring your own tent), movement and mindfulness experiences such as yoga and hikes, time for meaningful connection through participant-selected discussion groups, and space for play with game nights and cocktail/mocktail hours. Just as important, there will be intentional solo time to unplug, reflect, and soak in the surrounding nature.

The More Circle is shaped with participants in mind. Registrants will have a voice in additional activities that may be offered, and all experiences are optional. This retreat honors autonomy, choice, and the many ways adults experience stuttering.

Cost
Camp More is deeply committed to keeping our programming financially accessible for people who stutter. While our work has been sustained through year-round dedication and the generosity of our community, 2026 will be the first year we are operating an adult retreat, and as such, there are limited funds specifically allocated for this experience.
​
The registration cost of $750 reflects only a portion of the true expense of running the retreat with the true cost of running it being greater than the registration fee. Our goal is to create a high-quality, meaningful experience that prioritizes connection, confidence-building, and a strong sense of belonging.
​
While financial assistance will be very limited, we are hopeful to offer some support as we are able. We remain committed to ensuring that no person who stutters is turned away solely due to financial constraints and will do our best to make space for those seeking this experience.

Lodging
Liminalia has six cabins with cozy-made beds, a barn, and plenty of camping spots. While only one of the cabins has its own bathroom, formal and informal facilities are available around the property not far from the cabins.

Participants will be sharing a cabin with other participants. Sleeping preferences will be documented within the registration form. If a participant chooses to bring their own tent to camp, the cost is the same as Camp More will be charged the same amount regardless.​

Leadership Team
The More Circle is being shaped by a small team of Camp More family veterans, including speech-language pathologists with a deep passion for stuttering and graduating speech-language pathologists who stutter themselves. Thoughtfully designed, The More Circle extends beyond traditional therapy models and therapist-led experiences.
​
Rooted in Camp More’s mission to empower people who stutter to do more, say more, and be more through transformative, community-centered experiences, The More Circle invites participants to be active collaborators in the process. Together, we co-create space for confidence, authentic communication, and meaningful connection.
